IS13 Fast Adhesive For Styrofoam is a high-performance, one-component polyurethane adhesive designed for fast and durable installation of thermal insulation boards in ETICS (External Thermal Insulation Composite Systems). Its dense foam formula delivers strong initial grab and precise application across various insulation materials, including EPS (white, graphite, foundation), XPS, PIR, PUR, and mineral wool.

The moisture-curing formula bonds securely to a wide range of substrates, such as concrete, aerated concrete, ceramics, and even difficult surfaces like wood, metal, and glazed materials. Compared to traditional cement mortars, IS13 speeds up installation by up to 50%, while also supporting certified ETICS systems and excellent wind resistance. Thanks to its broad temperature range (-5°C to +35°C), it allows work to continue in changing weather conditions.

Product Application

IS13 is ideal for façade professionals and contractors working on external thermal insulation systems. It is suitable for bonding EPS (white and graphite), XPS, PIR, PUR, and mineral wool boards with compressive strength ≥80 kPa. The adhesive performs exceptionally well on typical and demanding surfaces, making it a reliable choice for new builds, retrofits, and “insulation-on-insulation” applications.

Instructions for Use

1. Surface Preparation
   Make sure all substrates are clean, dry, and structurally sound. Remove loose materials, dust, and grease. Fill in any major surface defects beforehand.

2. Application Conditions
   Apply the adhesive within a temperature range of -5°C to +35°C for best performance.

3. Applying the Adhesive
   Shake the can well. Then apply IS13 directly onto the insulation board using the supplied applicator or a compatible foam gun.

4. Installing Boards
   Press boards onto the wall immediately after application. You can adjust the board position by up to 30 mm.

5. Curing
   The adhesive cures upon contact with moisture. After approx. 2 hours, mechanical fixings (e.g., dowels) can be applied.

6. Additional Uses
   IS13 is also suitable for applying a second insulation layer and for filling minor expansion gaps within the insulation.

7. Storage
   Store upright in a cool, dry place. Do not expose to freezing conditions.
